How does intermittent fasting work?

Let's say you fast for 16 hours, and eat a whole chocolate cake in next 8 hours. Do you still win?

The game is still surplus-deficit of calories, how does time gap change things?

intermittent fasting helps to regenerate new cells and give rest to the gut.

Yeah, and I think it gives time for the body to break the fatty tissues and generate energy from them.

Worked for me, but had to take my supplements. I didn't eat chocolate cake though

It's still calorie deficit, IF just makes sure you quit snacking & limit meals?
Yeah with chocolate cake it won't work 😔

Didn't work for me. And yeah, doesn't work if you have a chocolate cake in the eating hour😏, can make it worse too. If you plan to do it, consult a nutritionist for best results as per your body.

Intermittent fasting also helps in regulating blood sugar level and that itself helps further in controlling insulin excretion in your body.

Insulin level disturbance in body is one of the main reason for getting diabetes and overweight body.

So intermittent fasting helps your body to not release insulin frequently so body doesn't become insulin resistant or diabetic.
This helps in weight loss too.
