Home construction loan / Layoff
I had been intending to apply for a home construction loan, but my circumstances have shifted due to a recent layoff. Regrettably, I was affected by the layoff, and my January pay slip reflects the final salary payment. Since banks typically require the last three months' salary slips, and the January slip includes additional details, I'm concerned if this might pose an issue. If I disclose this to them, they may request further documentation such as a new job offer letter. I'm seeking guidance on what options are available and what actions I should avoid. Waiting an additional 2-3 months for a new offer letter and salary slips is not preferable to me.
Tricky situation. I doubt anyone who got laid off would first think of taking home loan. Ur case might be rare so just try it out. Afaik banks ask for bank statement not payslip
yeah, i also got home loan from them, great service indeed

Reach out to folks at CreditDharma. Ditto like advice for all such queries. A friend referenced them to me
Update 1 - checked with SBI and HDFC. Both are saying it wouldn't be possible as company verification will fail, eventually rejecting the loan application.

It’s unfortunate, well try to close home loan deal asap, discuss openly with the loan agent/team lead and tell them the your current status. They can speed up the process. If the process isn’t started then they might hold on the loan
