Previously I worked in Persistent Systems for 2 years. Recently my hr called me to share the screen and resign. They have given me 7 days time to submit laptop and all the assets, leave the company. I just want to understand can't we do anything if they asked to do force resign. Because I have been in this company for 2 years, past 6 months they started doing this for atleast 40 employees per month only from my branch Hyderabad . Now it has become per week because they don't have projects and lot of projects are going to end in few months and already few projects moved out because when I spoked with senior in the company they are saying projects signed for 5 year's contract has now not interested to move. I asked  why because of internal company politics, favouritism, fake and backdoor employees, over commitment due to these projects are not delivered in given deadline. How employees Will look for another oppurtunity in 7 days, also in my case when said to my recruiter that I am laid off they didn't schedule interview call then I changed my plan started saying them that I am having offer of A from x company going to join in next 15 days, then they shared scheduling interview. 
Won't there be any legal action we can take on employer as an employee in this cases.

2) Don't get PERSONAL with panel
3) Be honest to say NO for not knowing anything, instead of blabbering

In this situation where a employer can hire and fire anyone anytime, why “moonlighting” or working part time, having a business, doing something of your own should be problem?

If a employer can dump their employees anytime then they have to look for themselves, they have life, expenses, dependencies.

This is a high time companies change their points on this in appointment letters and contracts.

I have just resigned in TCS, will I get retained by giving minimum hike?

Today I got a call from the HR team that I've been put on PIP. I have been on Bench for 2 months and they are doing it for Cost cutting. Furthermore they asked me to get a project in 2 months otherwise I have to self resign.

My doubt is if they forced me to resign after 2 months in case I didn't get any interview calls, Will they give me notice period (3 months) salary???

So I was laid off a couple of months back and the organization was forcing me to resign. I countered their basis of decision and was able to get my severance instead of notice. Further, they were asking me to serve a reduced notice but I opposed saying this is a layoff/termination from organization’s side and was out in a week. As a result they have deliberately put things like “his performance was average” in the experience letter. 

Can someone help me with how to deal with this situation for prospective employers? 

P.S: I do not want to go the legal route with my prev org and want to focus on the next prospects so if any HR in the network can help with some advice, that would be great.

I have received an official communication to initiate the process of L1B visa. I have heard rumours that companies initiate and help you in getting the visa but when it comes to actually sending you to US they delay the travel by 3 months citing budget constraints.

Anybody have heard or experienced this in their organisation? 

P.S. On the sidelines, I have secured and offer letter which is 2X my current CTC.

I wanted to hear from this community, what would you do in this case? Considering L1B rumours mighty be some strategy to retain employees.

- Don’t buy useless EMI for expensive cars or gadgets. If you cannot afford it, buy one within your budget, there are all ranges available.  
 - A job is a contract thats it. They don’t care if you have lakhs in loan or dependent families. Treat it like a task which gets over after working hours. 
 - This is esp for those egoistic and sadist managers and bosses who derive their sense of worth from humiliating their reportees, making then work on sick and emergency leaves, and creating an atmosphere of bullying. 
 - No one cares about your job or career progression outside your office. Don’t make it important than your family and health and give the same treatment to all your team members.

Hi.

I received a termination letter from my past company. The reason was, I sent my resignation letter from home and responded only when they reached out.

I know I am at fault. Should have sent resignation from office itself. But their punishment seems very harsh. I didn't get a chance to explain myself. 

Wherever I am applying for jobs, getting turned down as I do not have experience letter and relieving letter. Having a termination letter seems to be equal to having a criminal record.

I tried requesting my ex company, but seems they have forgotten my existence, and talked in a rude manner.

Day by day I am losing confidence. Trying my hand at freelancing also, but it would be like starting from zero.

How can I repair my situation. Advice pls.

PS: Humble request to all, no trolling please. Already I am down, don't want to get out.

I got an offer from splunk. The issue is last month I joined a banking MNC with 29 LPA as a fixed CTC.  

Right now Splunk is offering 22 LPA as base, 19 LPA as Retention bonus, and other benefits which makes my total CTC as 41 LPA. 

Not sure what to do? At one side I have a stable higher base pay job and on the other side a higher ctc and interesting job.

Hi everyone,
I was working in Persistent Systems from last 2 years and had a CTC of 5.5 LPA. I got laid off from persistent as I was on bench for 2 months. Now I am about to join TCS with data engineer role. So how much salary hike I could expect? In my previous discussion with HR I asked for 12 LPA but he said that for 2 Yr experience they can't give more than 9 LPA. So should I negotiate on that. The vacancy was for 4+ years experience but as I have cleared the interviews they are ready to go with me.
Please guide if you can as it is my first switch.

Although I clearly told them that people having more than 15 16 yoe are not getting an onsite opportunity how come I get ? Still they told me to consider. So viners community pls help me what should I do? I know it's onsite lolipop which is almost impossible but I'm still asking. It's a food for thought for me. Please give your suggestions. I work for a fairly popular and large Indian startup and I'm at a considerably senior position. As seen recently also with a lot of startups, my company is creating hurdles in my exit. I've resigned from the company but the company has a policy that allows them to accept or reject resignations at will. They are not accepting my resignation and are threatening me with frivolous law suits. I'm scared and not sure about how true their threats are.
