Of course it is a battlefield and cannot deny the fact. They say everything is fair in love and war. My frustration is just an emotion and  don't think there is anything wrong in expressing that. Kaam kiye tabi to chutti nahi de rehe hai😂

Sometimes it is really frustrating..we give everything for our job including our family time on important days but sadly it doesn't get recognised.....for the name sake the leaves are given and yes...

I have an onshore counterpart, one level above me. We two are setting up the project and conducting workshops. The problems I have are:

1. I work in the B shift from 2 PM to 11 PM since the client is in PST. But i login usually at 10-11
2. My onshore counterpart works in EST but logs in very late.
3. Although I work in the B shift, I often extend until 1 AM because I am preparing all the PPTs and doing research. I have to explain everything I do daily for 2-3 hours. She schedules meetings during the PST afternoon to present that work.
4. It has been 2 months of the same routine. In every weekly stand-up, she gets appreciation as if she did the work and research, without giving me any credit.
5. I can escalate the issue, but no one will listen because she has been here for 12 years, whereas I joined a year ago. She has strong networking with the leadership, which I lack.
6. I can ask for release, but I like this project and have provided solutions for some challenging gaps. I feel very bad because I work for 16-18 hours per day. She could schedule the meeting in the PST morning, but she purposely schedules it in the PST afternoon and gets the credit for my work.

PS: i saw her creating a transcript to read during the meeting

Do people like this really exist? If you have personal commitments, why come to work? Don’t you have a conscience and feel guilty about stealing credit for others’ work? Nowadays, there are many posts related to stopping gender-based reservations. Is it because of situations like this?

Do I need to put extra hours into my work when I am on notice period?
I have resigned and it has been a month but still I am getting the same amount of work as a regular one?

Do not join TCS at the early stage of life with a low salary with expectations that it will grow after a year or two as promotions are very slow. 
If you are getting a role with a salary up to the mark go ahead but the promotions and hike totally depends on the project. As I know the hike at TCS is between 2% to 5%.
Also promotions do not depend on your performance, even if you perform outstanding you might end up getting a 2% hike. Not worth it right. 
Promotions totally depend upon your behavior with your TL and manager. Even if the person does not work but does the chamchagiri of them it works. 
Once the project you are working in RAMPS Down the RMG people helps to ruin your life after that. RMG in Tcs needs proper training to allocate the manpower to proper process.

Also not been sick whatsoever, even during covid. I don't know why.

My job requires travel so I do get to spend time abroad.

The last cycle, I ended up making an extra 20L from all the leave encashment paying out at once. That's now worth 24L from a small cap MF.

Why does anyone bother with leaves if you are planning to retire before 40? I want to quit working while I'm still healthy.

Usually, I do my work in the given time, but due to some dependencies on me and after meetings on around 6-7PM some tasks are allocated to me that should be picked on the next day but due to "bhai plz Kar de" culture it is picked on the same which is not sometimes favorable and will cost around ending my day around 11 or 12 

Should this be embraced and how to tackle these things?

I used to take these requests and do them the same day out of good will. The ability to say no, comes with some experience. Give it 1 2 months you'll start saying no. It comes naturally and slowly

I am preparing for the Staff engineer role. Have put my resignation without any offer in hand due to being highly underpaid, no recognition towards my high-value work, poor management, toxic work culture and work-life balance.

I lose all my motivation to study gauzing at the things I am yet to study for the interviews.

I don't want to settle with another mediocre company and stay under paid just like today.

I had been in this company like for almost 3+ years, currently a senior level devops. This was my first company and today was the day of appraisal.

I had worked day in and day out at this company, even then the appraisal was way too low below expectations. Also, for other people on the same level, the appraisal has been much higher.

I am planning to talk to my manager regarding this (dunno exactly how to proceed), and in a month after completing my current project, I will be resigning.

Really frustrates me when a company doesn't recognize your hard work and loyalty!

We just received a message on our company  (Graphy by Unacademy) from our business head that, we should not come to him asking for 6-7 leave for Diwali. These are the employees who want to go back to there home town for the featival. Additionally he said that it is an optional holiday and we can ask for 2-3 days work from home max not more that that, and we should understand our business’s needs and remain focused on it. 
What should I do now I have to prioritise my family and going to my home town, like this I will have pressure from both ends, please pass on any advice.

I'm unable to understand what sort of entitlement does the leadership hold to ask their employees to work their ass off without any compensation for their efforts.

Like literally bro just said that it's a 7 day work week for the next quarter and fuck your personal life and doesn't even bother to highlight that there would be any gratification for the same.

The mid-senior leadership just acts as pawns and complies with this and in case you highlight this shit show you're fired.

Working in TCS Kolkata and really looking for a job change. Current scenario is terrible at work .
BFSI not paying the full variable allowance for over 2 years.
Salary hikes much lower than industry standard.
Terrible atmosphere at office where people are trying to put blame on others .
Whoever goes for tea with manager is supposedly most important resource in the project.
BaNCS product platform is the worst example of product yet company is forcing us to work on it.
Manager refuses to release from project even after multiple request.
5 days mandatory attendance at office is expected with threats of deduction from salary in case of less attendance 
No timings maintained.People are calling at night and expecting to get work done at the spot.So people are expected to work both at office and home which is taking a toll on personal life.
Leaves are not getting granted for no reason.
Promotion pending for over 2 years with no ETA from manager.
