Just had a call with a recruiter from Razorpay regarding the position of Lead Engineer - Android.  The budget quoted was around 22 LPA fixed with no variable components. The reason mentioned is that management wants to be careful with the hiring since they don't want to layoff anyone. I think they are trying to low ball the offer. Can some one from Razorpay comment. Pretty much sure 22 LPA for lead is pretty low

Salary for PM at RazorPay?

Was recently approached by Razorpay for a role at their payroll or Ezetap function.  
They are looking to hire for PM and PM 2, and I qualify for both of these roles. 
Can someone please help me out with the exact compensation for both the roles in this format : In Hand + Variable  
+ ESOPs.

The company did around 10-15% silent layoffs in the last cycle by putting people in PIP. 
My Manager told me that he has pressure on him to put at least 1 or 2 people in PIP, make them leave the company and reduce costs.

Later, the company did as low an appraisal as 2%.

Senior folks are leaving specifically Frontend Developers.

Salaries of a lot of SDE-2 are below 30 LPA.

They have started new positions called Product Developers which will do the same work as SDEs but with a lesser package. PD-1 salary is around 10-12 lakhs and of Lead PD is 20-22 lakhs.

The company is putting itself in a position where it wants people to leave on their own.

There are almost zero perks in the company. 
The team outing budget is a joke which is 2k INR per person per year. That is 500 rupees per person per quarter. 

Also making office mandatory from November.

I am not sure about the work culture at Razorpay, but lately I have read a lot of negative comments about razorpay in this app. At glassdoor, people are giving 5/5 rating to Razorpay. I am not sure about it. Can someone tell me how the work culture is at Razorpay? Are there frequent pips and how is the work life balance?

Got an offer from Razorpay for SDE

I have been working in Razorpay for more than a year. This is my first job. I have been approached by an early age profitable start up. My life at Razorpay is pretty comfortable at least for most of the days. And I know job at this new company would definitely be more demanding than the current one. Hi, I have an offer from Razorpay for 45 LPA - which is much better than my current pay so I am keen on taking it. Is this typical for PM at Razorpay with 4 years of Work Ex?

I've received two job offers and could use some advice on which one to choose.

Current: Software Engineer II
CTC: Around 12 LPA
YOE: Almost 3 years.

Offer 1: Product Development Engineer II, Razorpay

Offer 2: Software Engineer, Pluralsight

Both offers are in the range 18 LPA to 24 LPA and Pluralsight is the higher offer in terms of CTC. Also they seem to have more employee benefits compared to razorpay. Which offer seems more appealing based on the role, WLB, company outlook, growth etc.

Also a bit skeptical about the PDE II role at Razorpay because they mention that PDE II individuals can only advance to SDE 2 after being promoted to SDE 1 first, and then to SDE 2.
