So when when did you last cried? Are you emotionally stable ? 

How do you control your emotions ? 

I am emotionally breakdown point where I am struggling to find a new job( I know people will say u have a job but I have multiple reasons ) ,been applying to jobs  with referrals and without too for SDE 1 role.

But I am not able receive a single call from companies for interview from past 2 months.
I am tired ,I  cried today to fix my mental health ,XD nothing happened.

When i was in college i wanted to build my own company/product. Thought of many ideas and tried to build something. None of them worked and it affected my studies so I had to quit just to clear my exams.

After college I took placements in a WITCH like company where I got put into data entry/operations job after clearing difficult coding interviews (kismat kharab?). 
Somehow learnt new technologies on the side and managed to switch to a development role at a lower salary in a startup.

After 3 years Worked hard on DSA and (barely) managed to get a good offer with above average pay. But the company is not stable anymore and may layoff at any time. 
Right now struggling to learn enough DSA to crack any company.
Now I am almost 30, i have no hobbies,no talents, no relationships just trying to have a stable career.

I see people everywhere doing so many things at once. How do they manage to do this.
They are working at FAANG and managing businesses at the same time, have a bunch of friends.
What am I doing wrong?

Recently i had changed my job, previously WFH now new job WFO. I constantly feel that i may loose my job and i had to take some medicine for this as well. Doctor told me i was having pessimistic thinking and was depressed. I am the sole earning memeber of my home, 23 father dead, mother remains ill. Sister small in college.

I am in constant fear and this thing is eating me alive.

So I’ve been a below avg. looking guy my entire school and college life. Got a decent job offer (8LPA) during my campus placements. This was the story till January 2023.

Now It’s been around 1.5 Years. I’ve been working out 6 days a week (rarely skips), eat super clean food (monthly 1 cheat meal), started a skincare routine and tried to learning new technologies in search of a better job. This is the routine I followed for the entire 1.5 years.

Right now, I’ve a high paying job and a great physique. (Went from 68Kgs to 81Kgs)

A few women have approached me in last 3-4 months. In the gym, people come and talk to me regarding my diet and workout. A lot of people are sending me linkedin connections requests, asking for referral and guidance.

But now I don’t wanna talk to anyone because no one wanted to talk that ugly, lean and broke me. Wish someone would’ve came to that old version of me and said “You are enough”.

When you are doing good in life people starts chasing you

Too early, Too young to carry that arrogance. Imagine you might show this to someone similar “younger version” of you and how they will start seeing the world.  
  
 Humility will go a long way.

With zero finance and not single interview call I really deciding to end this journey on this planet. Come on don’t label me coward ending own life needs huge load of courage too.  This is also help my family to get the Life insurance money and continue their normal life at seems to only option at the moment.

Just curious; Is Suicide a option!

I suffer alone every night, smile during the day & tell friends only half and parents nothing so they don't worry about them.

I finally end up becoming a big ball of bottled up emotions.

I was trying to talk to my colleagues about this and no one seems to care. All they care about is their own life and that is fair.

I got into a startup (informal) and invested my savings and also took loan from friends and family.

It would take a couple of years to clear up but I am happy thwt I didn't let go.of the opportunity and the learnings also realised the following.
1.I enjoyed the thrill 
2.When something has to go wrong,It will
3.My priorities changed (family,health,mental peace)
4.I am enjoying what I have more than ever and not cribbing about what I don't have.

I am about to touch 40 and lose all savings(instead loans on the head) but I have never felt so calm ;)

Anyone with a similar life altering experience 😉

Not sure if anyone is successful enough to answer this  question but still would really like to know what you folks think about it. 

I know Success is a relative term. Here I am talking about that success when you are the absolute best in your field! Whatever you do, you are firmly sitting at the top. Do you think this level of success makes a person humble? It comes with endless supply of money and fame. One which you can only imagine in dreams and is achieved by a handful. What more is left once you achieve that? What are the challenges? What are the priorities now? How do they change given the fact that you don’t have to worry about the money factor at all. The only priority which I have seen is family! 

Isn’t it surprising how everything eventually boils down to us and our loved ones? Is there something which is more important than our family?

So I've been fed his podcasts a lot lately by the  YouTube algo. And while it's amazing one of India's best startup entrepreneurs is getting really good guests to come on his show, I just can't stand him. 

He interjects before the guests have a chance to finish their thought and at times it feels like the podcast is a platform to air his views rather than the guests. Especially his insistence on traumatic childhoods as a prerequisite for greatness and why  capitalism is best.

PS: Please don't come at me like his fans in the comments, legit want to know if this is just me or something others feel too.

I feel that we often don't take enough time to reflect, and as I'm currently interning and preparing for a full-time position, I'm curious about what sets people apart a few years down the line. Success is subjective—what might be a personal achievement for me could be different for someone else. But when it comes to having more "Eureka" moments at work (if those exist), enjoying the work itself, receiving monetary validation, or hitting career milestones, how does that vary? If most of us aim to live a healthy life and earn a good income, where do we tend to make mistakes that lead us from having the energy and ambition to achieve something in our 20s, to feeling worn out or unfulfilled by our 40s?


it boils down to 4 or 40 for me and i know that kinda stupid because I let the 4 years of engineering pass by but yes, i am okay to live with 4 years of regrets but not 40.

I currently work in a project that is driven by CEO and he is very intimidating. I work my ass off to make sure he gets what expects but today he was especially aggressive during the call. After the call I asked him to wait up for two mins and started telling him that I am getting intimidated by him. Although he was nice to me when I confronted him, now I am feeling embarrassed because I broke down a little when I spoke. Tears started flowing and I am feeling like a weak person. Just fyi I am an adult male.

It's ok to express your emotions.  Especially in times of stress / duress.  
  
 You'll be fine.  
  
 It's also important to sometimes define boundaries - if that was the intent of your talk with him today.  It's feedback and if he is an understanding leader, he'll give you your space and time.

Lately I have came across a thought that anyone and everyone in this world is unhappy whether they are those who have achieved everything and those who have not. 

Previously I was very competitive about each and everything in my life now slowly losing the zeal and have started questioning why and what I'm running behind and then if I get something that I desperately wanted will I be happy and the answer i got from within is a big no. 

So, basically it is a false thing in itself which we call life in which we are revolving around never ending loops wanting to achieve one thing or the other only till we achieve it.

Big post rant !!!

32 years old Male, born and brought up in UP.
Parents native to Karnataka, post bachelor’s got job in Microsoft on third party payroll working as support engineer for Azure Identity.

Wanted to prove my worth to the organisation and make my parents proud, unfortunately things turned out bad had to leave in a years time.

8years into the industry i see my batchmates my friends and younger ones making 4X money at minimum what i make currently (16LPA), married but again things are not turning well for me.. I have lost all interest from life don’t feel like going out, learning new things no hobbies also just working on office tasks since it provides paycheques.

I really feel like I am left behind and will always be left behind. I know life’s not fair but I just have lost it at all corners of my life.

Its just that i am living for my parents !!

I will tell you a real life incident. One of my batchmates was an average guy, okayish in studies. He even got an job with very low pay. He left the job to try for government exams or business. After couple of years gap he joined a small private organisation again. Worked hard and moved to another organisation. Now after all these years he is working in Europe at a handsome salary, married and lives a good life. Point being, everyone’s life clock is different. You may feel stuck today but tomorrow might be better.
