I don't want to sound condescending, but it is hard to speculate with accuracy. Personally, my understanding is that it will continue till May, then around June-July more layoffs will happen. Things will start to get back around October/November and will stay the same from Jan-May 25.

Things are going to be the same till 2024 financial year end and post that, market opens up in india around May end post covid. Hence, June 2025. Till then there is going to be limited hiring and for every post, 3x people are going to apply for it. So its gonna be hard to get an offer but not impossible.

I'm currently in the Junior year of my college and I've received an internship offer as a SDE from one of the respected companies(hasn't laid off anyone yet). Since 2024 is the year I graduate, I was wondering what the scenario might be according to the people senior to me. Will we be a victim to the situation as well! The terror is for real :/

Loosing respect for the companies which are laying off the freshers. I thing it is the worst thing which can happen in an industry. 

Ola and Amazon have fired freshers very recently.

It is a small service based startup from Jaipur.

They hired quite much in recent year because of the project they were getting from US and UK market, but as recession is catching up in these countries, they do not have any project and are firing around 40% of the staff.

Most of them are new freshers (as this company tends to have bond culture) and some are old non-billable staff.

I am also quite new(actually 2024 passout).
Spme of my friends too got laid off, hoping I will not get affected 🥲.

Had my offer rescinded last month due to bad market conditions. Have applied to multiple places with no luck to even get a single interview since last 40-45 days.
So, I would like to know which companies are hiring freshers, for SDE or product roles as of now.
How should I approach this situation to land a job?

Hey guys, I'm stuck in an MNC currently without any real world project for almost half an year now. I've been building projects on my own and looking for a switch. Since, situation in the market is a little tight, I'm hardly finding any non internship opportunities for freshers. Kindly let me know of any sources or any suggestions on how to move on from here. Opportunities for 2024 Graduate

So just finished my graduation I thought I'll cry about not having a job but I got a freelancing contract as a technical trainer.

I want to become a software engineer, the current contract pays we somewhat 40-50k pm but work is hectic as I need to put a lot of physical labour,
But the reason I choose this 1. Current market 2. I didn't want to sit unemployed as personal situation is not that good.

So what should I do? Like continue the same and I'm sure they will pay more cuz I got to from the manager that I have a good explanation skills or try to go get another work even it's paying very less.

The reason I'm asking strangers on the net is bcz it's so complicated that I can't even tell my parents about it....

So guys please if you have a suggestion or personal opinion feel free to give.

A questions to the IT vetrans. Many of us wants to know, Is there any possibility of the current IT market to be stable in 2025?

So, I completed my graduation in 2023 with a bachelor's in technology. I was placed in Capgemini on campus in September 2022. Have a letter of intent with me. Around  200 people  got placed. And from December-January 2024, my batchmates have started getting onboarding mail. It's just that i don't  want to wait any longer since i have given my most of the time waiting. I am a fresher and had a full time offer from Byju's and I had joining on 16th June which got deferred to 2nd August. Today I got another mail and it is further deferred to January 2024.
I don't have any other offer right now and I tried texting HRs on LinkedIn but no response. I used to be an active CP coder in college days. Any referral help/advice is appreciated.
