Im working in EY. Currently working from home, my office is in Gurugram. Im suffering from hypothyroidism and fatty liver grade 2-3. Will the pollution and office stress play a toll on me when i stay in Gurgaon? What steps can i take and what can i eat if i dont know cooking?
Is there anyone in the same boat and single like me who is suffering with the same health issues? Any guidance for me?

Hi all,
I am facing gut problems since 5yrs now. I always bloated and constipated. It started off after my school and it has been going on since then. Not sure if this is stress, lifestyle or what. Have tried all the medicines and what not but not getting the root cause.
I am physically active as well and that’s also not resolving this.
Currently I am working from home therefore I manage somehow but now it’s a huge blocker for my growth. 
I am just living the life counting every day and not sure how long this will go on.

Anyone else facing this or resolved this? 
Need help on this.

Problems in my life

1. I am fighting with my own parents because I love a guy from different religion.
He is my school mate and very good person. We both are at IT firm. He earns 38LPA and I earn 16LPA. Financially we are good and we both have very good understanding of each other.

2. I have health issues like pcod , thyroid, gas trouble and digestion issues. Constantly taking tablets and feeling exhausted all the time.

3. I have very toxic work culture at office. My manager literally forces us to work like hell. She doesn't concern about our health issues and treats like robots.

I am always thinking about work and getting anxiety issues. Currently I feel like taking break from everything and focus on myself but money is also important because i want to financially independent.
My brain is constantly worried thinking about future like work, health and money. Nothing really helps me and I feel worried all the time.

I wanted to check if anyone in this community has had been facing gut issues like the ones mentioned? If yes how are you guys coping with it. Most of the folks here talk about money, jobs, layoffs etc but I guess health is underrated. 

I have been suffering from IBS since 7-8 years and has it under control for the past 2 years. Suddenly for severe diarrhoea ( 8-10 times a day). Took usual meds from local doctor for 11 days. Things lined better but again after 4 days diarrhoea started. Since functional diseases don't have a cute, do some of you have it? How do you cope with it. What to avoid and what to do or consume more?

I will start with mine: 

1. Avoid stress
2. Avoid Outside oily and spicy food
3. Prefer coconut water, buttermilk etc
4. Avoid lactose 
5. Avoid some nuts
6. Have fermented items more

What ur take and how do you cope?
What helped and what didn't?
Who are some good doctors who helped and changed ur life (For me it was Akash Shukla in Mumbai)?

I remember when I got the offer letter from FAANG. It felt insane. Years of late nights, hard LC sessions, and hunting for referrals on LinkedIn. I was going to work for my dream company. Was the first time I moved to Bangalore as well.

Koramangala became my second home. Used to party like crazy and go out on dates.The first few months were just pure bliss. The work was challenging, the team was brilliant, and the perks were insane. It was fun going into projects, determined to prove myself. 

Weekends stopped mattering to me; my life revolves around deadlines, deployments, and meetings that stretched into the night. I saw most people chill oput but I wanted to be better than anyone else. and grind harder.

Now after months of this grind, I am burnt out af. I cant sleep at night properly anymore and honestly? i'm having a hard time in terms of my sexual illness with my ED. Went to a doctor in Indiranagar and she confirmed that it is pretty common in Bangalore. I don't know what to do but I am going to take out time to just care for my health now.

Got diagnosed with ED today because of work pressure and anxiety...

Is Gurgaon a good place to work?

I was in a remote job from 2020, until last year where I was laid off in November. Then when I started searching for new companies my priority was to work on site, but again I got a remote job.
My problem is living in the house 24*7 make it dull after sometimes and you forgot the line between personal life and work life. All I did was waking up in the bed and then opening laptop and vice versa in the night. Plus you don't have social interaction. Now I have become an introvert living in my own room and it takes enormous energy to go out and meet people. Is remote job really worth it wasting my 20's sitting in the home ? 
How are you folks coping up with this thing?

I recently graduated from a Tier-1 MBA college and got placed in a well-known digital firm as an Assistant Project Manager. I underwent compliance training etc for the first month and then got aligned to a tight deadline project as a developer, as there were no openings related to my expertise available. Note that I have no formal experience as a developer. The project is off the rails as no one here knows how to do their job properly. I am really exhausted and my health is getting affected. What can I do regarding this? What options do I have? Any guidance would be very helpful!

Can someone help me on my dilemma and what should I do and follow ? My head is bursting out of tension, and I am just going mad being scared about my future.

So I(23M) am currently working in a big product based company, and it's office is located in hyderabad. With the recent RTO push, I will have to move there soon. The thing is, I don't want to to move to hyderabad. Many reasons to it. Firstly, I know no body in the city, like have just one friend in that city, and office peeps. Living alone like this is what I'm afraid of (I've never lived away from home). Secondly, I am a pure vegetarian, and hyderabad smells non-veg from road to road. Cafe's restaurants, that stinking non-veg everywhere. Lastly, my parents will be left alone here at my hometown, and they'll not prefer moving with me coz they'll become even more alone in an unknown city. 

I am thinking to change my job and get to Bangalore, where I do have more friends and family, and Bangalore doesn't stink as well (non-veg is present in cafe's and restaurants everywhere, but it's way much bearable). The last problem still remains. 
An added problem here is the current economy and recession (I know India has lesser chance of recession, but IT companies are based out of US, so layoff risk continues). 

I also have a plan to go for higher education, in India itself. But moving away is still an issue, with an added financial burden, as there will be no one earning. And I really feel that getting that second degree is necessary. 

I am supeeerrrr stressed on what should I do, and with each passing day and I'm able to do nothing, it's just stressing me out so much. 
Anybody who faced similar situations ? What did you do and how did you cope with it ?

Worried about career and future....

I have to travel from Kochi to Bangalore every two weeks or so. Due to this constraint, I'm not able to join any gyms be at Bangalore or Kochi. And i have recently noticed that my fitness is becoming really weak. Also since I'm traveling homely food is not possible. Is anyone else going through the same stuff? Can you give me a few suggestions to handle this issue. Also, I'm staying at a backpacker hostel. They don't have treadmill or any other equipments here.

Our jobs requires us to move to a different location almost every few years. Considering this fact, how do folks here decided where to buy their permanent home?

I used to live in Gurgaon before covid. I've been working remotely since then. In the long run, I don't see myself working from home all the time. I may move to work in a hybrid setup. I had always observed that there are not a lot of opportunities in Gurgaon comparing with Hyderabad or Bangalore.

Moreover, I don't like big & crowded places. I don't see myself living in these metro cities in the long run.

I'm struggling with back pain, headache (of I don't get proper sleep) and lack of energy.

I used to smoke 8-10 cigarettes daily in my 20s and daily long hours desk job with all three meals outside.

Now I can't sit for more than 2 hrs at stretch and if I don't get 8 hrs of sleep, I just can't function the next day - like a Zombie with red eyes. I feel on my good days also I have 50% energy compared to 5-6 years back. 

I have joined a gym a few months back - doing 3-4 sessions weekly and on complete home food diet. Things are a bit better now.

Anyone facing the same?
