People who moved out of Bangalore, which city did you move to ?

Bangalore's infra has been crumbling under the weight of its population growth. I believe that yesterday's traffic jam was just a trailer and situation will only worsen with time.

Seriously contemplating moving out of Bangalore after being here for last 5 years.

People who moved out, where did you move? And are you happy now with your decision ?

Gurgaon. 5kms gets covered in literally 10mins. I have never been more peaceful and calmer in my life. Also it has some amazing restaurants and relatively decent housing prices.

Sounds good. 👍
Only parameter where Gurgaon might lack a bit is job opportunities. I hope more companies open their offices in ggn.

PUNE✌🏻 much peaceful compared to Bangalore and work culture is way better than my experiences in Bangalore.
Festival celebrations are just amazing and no bad experiences since past 1.5 yr Congestion is piling up this city just like BLR, as a lot of tech companies are gearing up for new offices and new tech parks are already under construction - specifically KHARADI area and they say almost 1.5 lac IT jobs will open up in the next 3-4 years.
Traffic woes are same, but again depends on the which part you stay - as we have similar deadlock junctions in Pune as well, if compared to BLR.

Have heard good things about pune.
How's the infra and public transport?

Metro work has seriously happened very fast I would say though. Once the hinjewadi Baner university line opens up, coverage on most key areas for IT folks becomes solid

Hyderabad has largest tree area among all cities. In my locality(madhapur) there are trees in every corner.

Mumbai - true cosmopolitan city Left bangalore 1.5 years back, Mumbai is ❤️❤️ Except buying/renting house, everything else is fairly priced, auto rickshaws run on meter, they don’t quote exorbitantly high rates, 24 hours drinking water supply, overall facilities are good

Not really inclined towards Mumbai. Have heard horror stories from friends regarding weather, commute, rent and cleanliness.

Kozhikode, Mysore, Coimbatore, surat, Nagpur, Indore, Jaipur.

Rising and good infra. Many small companies are starting here now.

I'm aware that many tier-2 cities are now coming up from the news.
But I'm looking for ground reality through personal experiences of folks who moved to these cities.

Only if more companies start in Jaipur, Id move there happily.

Stayed one year in Bangalore, then moved to Hyderabad. And I’m happy with my decision. Sure traffic is also a problem here, but not that big as it is in Bangalore.

I mean if you time your travel time right, you can avoid traffic jams.

Next if given the chance, Id like to spend some time in Pune as well.

I was in B'lore from 2007 to 2016 before moving to Pune. Pune is 80% similar to B'lore. Better festival celebrations, lesser traffic, but less job opportunities too. I came back to B'lore, 5 months back and I see the traffic is 30-40% more compared to 2016 levels. With wfh in my company, I don't see many issues here, as the biggest cribbing point here is traffic 😂

Traffic has definitely worsened. Rents have skyrocketed as well. Was paying 36k for a 3 bhk in 2018, not same place has 80k rent.

80k? Which society? That seems too high by any means!
