As updated in my last post, I got married but some business was yet to be finished. As what lot of you people mentioned and suggested, today I am flying back home to have a conversation with my family(Mom is primary target). Whole plan is to tell them the truth. Let’s see how it goes. Though the marriage is done, I hope she accepts my wife. I very deeply want to take my wife to my mom’s house and get her blessings. I missed my mom during the marriage, but I don’t want to miss her in my life. Prayers are stronger and having belief in god! Not much change in my family’s stand! Few conversation where they started becoming supportive of me but that came along with the question of postponing the marriage. Again after every support, their was push to not do the marriage. You will regret later, she is not good etc etc. My mom, today she even asked that the girl need to leave her well paying job! I am feeling so so ashamed of all this happening around. I am feeling guilty for both the family. I am feeling guilty that I should not have carry forwarded the relationship. Over these, I have started realising that how societal powers can make a human sacrifice their own self. If I choose to not marry(Assumption) how I am going to sacrifice myself only for my mother’s happiness. Idk what happiness she will get by marrying me to someone of her choice. I am sure of all the marriages that are happening around, more than half of it must be broken or shallow marriage. I am greatful to have friends who are around, who are coming to attend marriage and are supporting me. I am also greatful to girl’s family. They are supporting the relationship! My GFs and my family are now soon to be in talking stage and it's already fucking up our mind. My parents want to do it ASAP and her's want to have sometime. Every single day we're just balancing and cursing our decision. For context: it's typical interstate, inter caste one and we have know each other for 8 years. Why does it need to be so hard? Both the families are in opposite directions. 🥲

Recently, I heard a very interesting story about Swiggy from someone. Their mum booked a high value order as a surprise for them on Swiggy. Since they had a Swiggy One subscription, the whole family used the same account. Halfway through, the delivery person calls them, says the vehicle broke down. Mum steps away to deal with something else and when the delivery person calls again, their dad picks up. The delivery person says the vehicle broke down but he'll figure something out and send it with someone else, but to do that first, he'll need their details. He proceeds to ask for their phone number (linked to account) and for the OTP sent from Swiggy? Sounds super strange but the dad took pity and figured sure, let me try and make this delivery person's unlucky day a bit nicer — after all, it's a Swiggy account anyways, what harm could it do. He shared the OTP. Almost immediately after, the delivery person changed the phone number for the account and everyone logged in lost access to the account. Ofc, he scammed the order for himself. The real kicker is that their Email ID was still linked to the account, so anytime the delivery person makes an order, they get an email with his order details. So far, they've been regularly getting order details emails with orders for paan, gutkha, cigarettes and some sides/chakna, all to some mall. 😂 Now, cool story bro, but how is this Swiggy's fault, you ask? Well, support has been contacted multiple times, over multiple accounts, but to no avail, because clearly their customer support has gone to shit. Even with the address and phone number of the delivery person who scammed them, and having an email id linked to the account, they've been of absolutely no help, as if their hands are tied. Their user workflows are so brittle, they don't account for the simplest locked out of account scenarios, let alone address security concerns and protect the customer from their own agents. Truly a wonder this company is worth anything.

I'll go first: Heard about a married couple (married <1 year) and already separated (to be divorced). The wife hid her past and relationship from her family and in-laws. Husband asked about her relationships and she said she isn't in one. No pressure from the guy's family about marriage. Girl said yes and for months pretended to be excited about marriage. Post marriage, husband realised that she's cheating, excessive partying drinking, and smoking. Husband is in a disarray and suicidal. Now I know there are both men and women like her (not making it a gender thing). But as a man looking for a partner/relationship/girlfriend, how do we be careful and what red and green flags should we look for, in a woman, while looking for a genuine relationship?

I've been of the opinion that I don't want to marry and will enjoy life single. Turned 28 this year and for some reasons, my thoughts and perceptions changed and decided to give it a shot. Installed a matrimony app and didn't find much things happening there until I found a girl whom I thought I would give a try. I requested a match which got accepted very soon. Fast forward, it's been 2 months since we whastapped each other. The only thing bothering me is that she's working in audit and says that she's too busy for texts, calls etc. And over the course of this 2 months period, we only managed to call each other thrice(including 1 video call). I had asked her to atleast try to call me but she's too busy/ not feeling well/ tired etc. I really had feelings for her initially, but even after multiple attempts, she still keeps me waiting, I feel I'm slowly losing it and have reached a stage where i don't feel anything. What should I do? P.S. we live in different time zones with a difference of 1.5 hours and by the time I'm back from gym, it'll be 11-11:30 pm her side. I try to have food and everything very quickly and make time for her everyday, only to be disappointed most days. And most of her texts are scattered, with time gaps ranging from 10-16 hours at times. She tells me she's too exhausted and has no energy for anything but I am cent percent sure that she is using phone for insta, twitter etc even when my chats are waiting.

I am in early 30ts F, Family wants caste marriage, but most of the PPL from the community is not okay with my independent thinking and growth mindset. Each conversation goes back to me being married to a family where I will need to go few years back in my life to adjust with the thought process. Am I being unreasonable? This is getting too much to handle, so many conflicts with my family, today it was upto the extreme that I felt like I am being burden too them and they will be better without. Never before ever I had this feeling of leaving the world with this ease. I want companionship in my life, but caste apparantly is really important for my parents. They agree that it is rare to find someone with the morden thinking in the caste due to the traditional norms and not many ppl getting oppertunity to come out and explore other parts of the country. I am really afraid of being trapped in the system is I marry in the caste. I don't know how to navigate this. These days whatever my family things whatever I say and talk is against them. These chaos is becoming too much for me to handle too.
