How do your parents stay busy/active ?

Hi , My mom & dad lives alone and they are retired now .I got married and shifted to a different city. I was just wondering if there are any activities where they can keep themselves engaged. Mom is usually unwell and she can’t do much physical activities and so is my dad as he broke his leg and can’t do much of physical activities. I wanted to bring them in Bangalore but with my current package and living in 1BHK with the expenses I have , unfortunately I can’t afford to bring them here at this moment. Please give me some ideas. Gardening , reading books is out of scope for now. PS - I wanted them to be engaged with something so that they are not sad & they don’t feel alone.

It's for the people who stay away from their parents for work. How do you deal with this guilt of leaving your parents behind when they need you the most? Also, if you have done something regarding this, please mention.

I mean what are some of hobbies that you are doing be it health-wise, sports, trips, other activity ? something that add an extra layer of intrest in your life, that break monotonous working vibe reduce pressure of always being productive Hoping for good variety of answers 😅 something that I can adopt

Hi everyone, need your suggestions on something. I was recently talking to my mom, who's currently a housewife. She's been a working woman till her late 20s and then left her job because of my birth. Later, when I reached my teens, she tried resuming her career but couldn't succeed becaus companies won't take someone with such a huge career break. She also tried starting something of her own but didn't work out because of the nature of the business. So she's been at home for a very long time. Now, I am a working man myself and usually not at home because of tight work schedules. My mother gets a lot of time at home and has been wanting to do something but is unable to get a direction. What are some of the things she can do to keep herself busy/ restart her career? Some things that I could think of were: 1) can do some short term educational courses online 2) join some NGO, or some communities (pls note, she is not the type to go to kitty parties😅) 3) open a small at-home business (will appreciate ideas for this) Also, is anyone aware of any part-time job portals for women with career breaks? Please drop your suggestions below.

I am posting here looking for some suggestions. My mom is about 63 years of age, has worked most of her life and then travelled. But lately after retiring and covid her morale and energy has come down drastically. I was talking to her today asking her start volunteering at either at NGOs etc. Do you guys know of certain NGOs/Schools where they would allow people to Volunteer in Bangalore? Any leads would be helpful

Hii folks, how do you maintain an active lifestyle on a regular basis?

I'm a final year student at a tier-1 engineering college. I am looking to break into product management and have been looking for internships and full time opportunities for the last 5 months. I've had no luck so far, and my campus placements are not up to the mark this year so no luck there as well. I've done all the essentials for preparing for this role, like preparing for interviews, participating in product teardowns, working on a portfolio etc. I initially planned to work for a few years and do an MBA in the US but I'm seriously contemplating going for a master's degree now (maybe MiM in EU or some MS in software applications in the US). Looking for advice on what should be my next steps. PS: I'm not looking to do an MBA in India. If I go for a master's degree, I want to do it abroad.
