50% hike but 3 months notice period - should I join?
Never join. You'll have trouble switching. In these times when the supply of Engr is super high nobody is gonna wait.

Don't.. 3 months notice period is practically bonded slavery. Companies will not even call you for interview if you tell them 3 month notice period.
You will think of there is layoff they will either pay 3 months or give you notice for 3 months. They won't.
Yup 3 months is the only red flag, but at the same time they will be paying 50% more. That is why I am confused...
Also I am severely underpaid at my current org

Notice period can be boughtâŚ.
Go ahead with the switch, dont worry about notice period. You can anyday resign without any offers, and start preparing but start applying from 2nd month of notice period.
It seems a bit risky to resign without any offers, but assuming you having a decent experience at Oracle, you would not have much problem landing interviews later.
I'd suggest to take a calculated risk.
I too am in this same situation. I would be joining but will keep looking out to change to a 2 month np company, till the probation period ending.
