 You can get all the tests done at home using Practo app. But it would be best if you can call some colleague for help and go visit a Doctor. In many diseases, timely diagnosis is must. A delayed diagnosis causes difficulty. So you must get the exact diagnosis done asap. Don’t rely on paracetamol tablets for long, without the diagnosis.

Recently i had changed my job, previously WFH now new job WFO. I constantly feel that i may loose my job and i had to take some medicine for this as well. Doctor told me i was having pessimistic thinking and was depressed. I am the sole earning memeber of my home, 23 father dead, mother remains ill. Sister small in college.

I am in constant fear and this thing is eating me alive.

I am 28 M.

I was born in a poor family and to make matters worse my father was diagnosed with a terminal illness when I was still in college.

As if watching my father dying was not enough I came to know that my mother was having an affair with my father's friend. I never caught them but I saw their whatsapp messages.

My father eventually succumbed to his illness leaving the family responsibilities on my shoulders.

I never got to enjoy college. My first paycheck was spent on the medical bills and subsequent paychecks were spent on clearing my brother's education loan, paying back relatives (we borrowed some money for my father's treatment) and just taking care of my family.

I want to get married but honestly I don't have any money for it now and I don't want to take a loan.

I never had any relationship. It could never become a priority.

And it's not about just sex. It's something deeper. Maybe intimacy, maybe human touch, maybe something else. I don't know.

I tried hard to focus on my work and hobbies but It merely proved to be a temporary escape.

I don't even know why I am narrating all this to a bunch of strangers but then again aren't we all in the same boat at the end?

I know it's not a good platform to share a personal story but wanted to express myself. I am a software engineer with decent earnings working in Accenture and going to join Deloitte! My family environment is getting worse because of my father's drinking habit. We are not able have a normal topic with happy moment. Every-time I tried to have a discussion it gets into bad fight. I already had a pretty hard heart break and only option I have is family where I am not able to make things right. I am feeling as a failed as a child and not having any expectations from future. I am tired of toxic environment not sure till when I can handle this. I don't want to have any partner in my life as they will face things which I am facing. I suppose leaving life alone is good for me. Alone and happy.

I know sharing this will not change anything. Just wanted to tell everyone keep your family first priority. Without family high paying job will also not give any satisfaction.🙂

Everything has been bought by parents EVERYTHING
My mom would always make sure she or dad paid, saying you can keep your money for yourself (which I initially thought was very sweet)
Now I see how I am dependent on them for all

What ever I have bought can be put into a polythene bag and that's all my life (I generally spend on food and stuff that goes away)
I have bought certain items for family or the house, but that isn't mine obviously 

I need to get out of the house, my mental health is at the edge

My parents are in their 70s now, and I'm constantly worried about their health and well-being. They live in another state, and I feel guilty for not being there more often. 

How do you balance caring for aging parents with your own life and responsibilities? Any advice for long-distance caregiving? This whole situation is giving me major anxiety.

How do you deal with the anxiety of aging parents?

I am 33M, started working at 20. Earned 87LPA when I was dropped off in June 23. I am a very responsible person who had taken care of everything in the family for quite some time. My parents and relatives and everyone else who know me well, know this and kost have appreciated this at some point.
My sister separated from her husband 6 months after my marriage and had been living with me and my wife since then till COVID hit.
My mother has anger issues and my father is very obedient to her. I love my parents and they loved me I think.
Post COVID I moved to my hometown (because family) and things started going downhill. My mother will almost entire day find every faults in my wife and share it with everyone with an angry tone. I just listened to her initially for 2 years but at times I told her that it's enough.
Now she has started fighting me. After the fight I would go and apologize to her knowing that it's not my fault just to make things right.
This time when my mother fought with me she taunted me that you will come back and apologize. This hurted me even more than the fight.
Now I am not going back to apologize and she's escalating it every day. Convinced my father and my eldest sister(happily married) that I am a bad son. Shares messages like "maa bap ko pareshan krne vale bachho ko kya fal milta hai" in WhatsApp groups.
She has even asked me to vacate home. I am unemployed at the moment and I told her I will when I have a job.
I don't know how to deal with it. I can't convince people in the family that she has anger issues.

My parents hate me

I work in remote based startup of Bangalore. And I live with my wife and infant in some tier 2 City. And my parents live in my hometown. I don't want to shift to my hometown as it doesn't have basic facilities available and I don't like being there as I get bored. My parents didn't want to leave hometown. And they continuously tells me yaha kyu nhi rehte. What should I do?

Covid batch 21, moved to Bangalore, got an apartment with a flatmate, abandoned all old friends, made new friends, made some new best friends. Bitter relations with my sister, long distance relationship, never felt more lonely, didn't do well with the flatmate, depression, therapy, suffocation, suicidal thoughts, adopted a cat, realised nobody is there for you, started drinking, started smoking, started smoking weed, made friends who'd smoke with me, they helped me get out of depression, realised there will be no one for me, nobody cares if I'm alive or not, started cooking, realised smoking can be lethal, trying to quit, learnt how to live alone. 

I am much better now. I am happy alone. It's really elevating how happy being alone can be. Now I don't have any expectations from anyone, and I don't care how others play around me. I know I'll be there for myself. I am not dependent on anyone. The cat really helped me a lot. And I'm so grateful for all those people for not being there for me, it really made me the person I am today.

Initially I was not sure had a convo with parents whether to take it or not. After discussing all this, finally when I said I'm gonna accept my mom broke and started crying. (Cause I'll leave for mum then) 

In dilemma what to do?

By each passing year of my college, im learning the art of being alone and enjoying peace in solitude.
The situation and scenes are getting worse and worse, and i lose myself on a daily basis. Now, it has become a routine to find myself by dropping the last inch of patience, self-love, and understanding.

Adulting pushes you one step closer to independence.

I’m a very private person and I was a bit confused whether I should write here or not, but anyway.

So, day before yesterday I was sitting on my chair after dinner and was thinking about my life and what the hell am I doing.

I realised that,
Saala bachpan se aaj tak race me hi bhaag raha hun. Pehle school me 1st, 2nd, 3rd aane ki race me. Then acche college milne ki race me. Then uske baad acchi job milne ki race me. Then uske baad agar ladki chahiye toh uske liye bhi ek race hai (Don’t have a gf, plz don’t take me wrong, it was a realisation)

My current daily routine is like this:
Wakeup everyday, write code, go gym, dinner, and then sleep and repeat this cycle everyday.

School ke dost peeche chhoot gaye, college ke dost apni life me busy ho gaye, colleagues se main zyada baat nhi karta and main akela padh gaya.

Feels like life is not intriguing anymore, it has no spark left. Its so painful to live everyday.

I feel like I don’t want to live any more, I want to die but I can’t cuz of 2 reasons.
1. I’m the only son of my parents.
2. If I die like this, then I won’t be able to come out from the birth cycle.
